The Seal Cove Open Hutch is the perfect complimentary cabinet to any french country dining space. This two piece cabinet consists of a sideboard base with a flat base molding, and recessed side panels for an extra design touch. The upper cabinet has two six pane glass doors, behind which are shelves that are covered by the mullions.
The hutch has two open shelf areas, one in the upper area and one in the lower. This space is perfect for displaying your finest items. The upper shelf opening has (1) fixed shelf with a plate groove for displaying dishes and your best china. Behind the glass doors are removable shelves, these also have plate grooves. There is also plenty of storage space for linens and cutlery in the base sideboard. Behind each solid panel door there is (1) adjustable shelf.
The cabinet is constructed in two pieces, the upper hutch sits atop the sideboard base and is set in place with a molding attached to the base cabinet top. The overall width is 78", this includes the crown molding. The upper hutch depth is narrower than the base to allow an ample serving space area for dishes, trays, and platters. The standard hardare are knobs on the doors and cup pulls on the drawers.
The Seal Cove Open Hutch is made of solid wood, including the 5/8" tongue and groove backing. The base top is water-sealed for daily use. Select your paint and/or stain options.

All of the finishes that we offer on our furniture are uniquely French Country. We offer traditional milk paint finishes and stains with low VOC that is healthy for you and the environment. Our finishes are hand applied, then lightly rubbed, for time worn character (we can also finish without paint distressing!). Our finishers lightly surface distress tops for a time worn appearance. All finishes are water sealed and waxed for easy care, everyday use.
We offer (3) styles of tops on all of our furniture: Stained Pine, Hand Planed, and Birch. Below are approximate examples of each wood style, along with an explanation of the characteristics of each. All tops are finished with two coats of varnish and a wax top sealer. The cleaning of the surface is an easy soap and water maintenance, there is no special routine required, this is an easy-care system.
"Stained Pine" is our standard solid wood top featured on all furniture pieces.
"Hand Planed" is a solid pine top which has a planed down surface to open the grain of the wood to allow a deeper stain color. This technique provides an uneven, grooved surface for a more rustic look.
"Birch" is a hardwood top that has less wood grain and no knots when compared to Pine. Birch is a popular choice for customers looking for a harder top for children or heavy wear.
