The French Provincial Table grandly showcases French elegance and style—from the fluted legs, and carved medallions, to the forged metal edging. This table has a V-groove top and (2) 16" table leaves that expand the table.
Louis XV popularized ornately carved details on furnishings. Today, these Provincial details are still considered quintessentially French. The Provincial Dining Table grandly showcases these attributes—from the fluted legs, and carved medallions to the forged metal edging—all which exude handcrafted French elegance at its best.
The French-style table has a solid wood top, and hardwood fluted legs for enduring strength. The table top options include "Stained Pine" wood, "Hand-Planed" new wood planed and distressed, or "Birch" hardwood. The top has a V-groove joints to give it a planked appearance. The V-grooves are carved into one solid piece of wood to give it the look of many boards. The corners have forged metal fasteners to give the dining table added grandeur.
The ends of the table top have "breadboard" ends that pull out to allow for 16 inch extensions to be added to table. The table leaves expand the dining table for additional seating at large gatherings.
The large, 5" fluted legs feature carved medallions adding French elegance to the table. The dining table has a generous 44" width to provide plenty of serving space. The table skirt has a raised contoured cut to provide additional leg room to the French-style table.
The French Provincial Table has sturdy solid wood construction that will stand up to daily use. The table top is stained, watersealed, and waxed to prevent water rings. Easy soap and water clean-up.

"Stained Pine" is our standard solid wood top featured on all furniture pieces.

"Hand Planed" is a solid Pine top which has a planed down surface to open the grain of the wood to allow a deeper stain color. This technique provides an uneven, grooved surface for a more rustic look.

"Vintage Pine" is made from reclaimed wood from old hunting cabins, buildings, and cottages. No two tops are alike, some are more rustic than others, they can be very distressed by their weather worn age. You should expect that some have divots and worming.
