A round table is a wonderful addition to any french country dining room or kitchen. This 54" round pedestal base table is built of solid-wood, with the base turned from a 12" block of wood.
The top is available in your choice of wood top style: Pine, Birch, or Hand Planed. The pedestal base sits on an elevated square platform with three stacking layers. The base allows seated diners to not have to straddle a leg as found on traditional leg tables. The generous onion base is turned from a 12 inch solid block of maple.
There are no fasteners used in attaching the top and base. The base has a center rod that mates with hardware embedded in the table top, the top simply spins down to attach to the pedestal base. The resulting connection makes for a sturdy table that can be enjoyed by all who sit at it.
The 54 inch Round Pedestal Dining Table has a 1 1/4" thick top and comes in a variety of top styles; "Stained Pine" new pine wood, "Hand-Planed" new pine planed and distressed, and "Birch" solid hardwood.
The 54" round pedestal dining table can be finished in our classic French country two-tone finish (stained top with painted base), or stained and painted all-over one color.

All of the finishes that we offer on our furniture are uniquely French Country. We offer traditional milk paint finishes and stains with low VOC that is healthy for you and the environment. Our finishes are hand applied, then lightly rubbed, for time worn character (we can also finish without paint distressing!). Our finishers lightly surface distress tops for a time worn appearance. All finishes are water sealed and waxed for easy care, everyday use.
We offer (3) styles of tops on all of our furniture: Stained Pine, Hand Planed, and Birch. Below are approximate examples of each wood style, along with an explanation of the characteristics of each. All tops are finished with two coats of varnish and a wax top sealer. The cleaning of the surface is an easy soap and water maintenance, there is no special routine required, this is an easy-care system.
"Stained Pine" is our standard solid wood top featured on all furniture pieces.
"Hand Planed" is a solid pine top which has a planed down surface to open the grain of the wood to allow a deeper stain color. This technique provides an uneven, grooved surface for a more rustic look.
"Birch" is a hardwood top that has less wood grain and no knots when compared to Pine. Birch is a popular choice for customers looking for a harder top for children or heavy wear.
