The 48" and 54" Round Extendable Pedestal Base Table is a perfect choice for your French country dining room or kitchen. Built using solid wood, the base is a turned onion design made from a 6" block of solid Maple. The table comes with (1) 20" extension that is placed in the center of the table. The extension mechanism uses metal glides for strength and durability.
This round extendable table uses no pressboard, mdf, or veneers in its construction. The table base consists of a round ball base turned from hardwood (Maple) and is detailed with decorative turnings. The standard table top is eastern white pine, but one can opt for Birch if you are seeking a harder table surface. The turned pedestal base is solidified by (4) shaped feet which add to the unique look of this round extension table.

Each top style is sealed and waxed, you'll have no issue with water rings. Our tops are an easy-care clean-up of soap and water, they require no special care, just use and enjoy!
The round turned base table has a thick 1 1/4" top with a variety of top styles available; "Stained Pine" new pine wood, "Hand-Planed" new pine planed and distressed, and "Birch" solid hardwood.
The French Country Round Extendable Table can be finished in any of our milk paint or stain finishes for an elegant traditional, cottage or rustic style.

All of the finishes that we offer on our furniture are uniquely French Country. We offer traditional milk paint finishes and stains with low VOC that is healthy for you and the environment. Our finishes are hand applied, then lightly rubbed, for time worn character (we can also finish without paint distressing!). Our finishers lightly surface distress tops for a time worn appearance. All finishes are water sealed and waxed for easy care, everyday use.
We offer (3) styles of tops on all of our furniture: Stained Pine, Hand Planed, and Birch. Below are approximate examples of each wood style, along with an explanation of the characteristics of each. All tops are finished with two coats of varnish and a wax top sealer. The cleaning of the surface is an easy soap and water maintenance, there is no special routine required, this is an easy-care system.
"Stained Pine" is our standard solid wood top featured on all furniture pieces.
"Hand Planed" is a solid pine top which has a planed down surface to open the grain of the wood to allow a deeper stain color. This technique provides an uneven, grooved surface for a more rustic look.
"Birch" is a hardwood top that has less wood grain and no knots when compared to Pine. Birch is a popular choice for customers looking for a harder top for children or heavy wear.
